If you are driving from Funchal city center, take Avenida Arriaga and head towards the Estrada Monumental. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Estrada Monumental (also known as Av. do Infante). Follow the road for about 2 kilometers. You'll see signs directing you to São Martinho. As you approach São Martinho, keep an eye out for Av. Do Mar. Turn left onto Av. Do Mar, and after approximately 500 meters, Praça do Povo will be on your right, just after the intersection with Rua do Gorgulho.

To reach Praça do Povo using public transport, start by finding a bus stop near your location. Look for bus lines 1, 2, or 4, which all serve the area around Praça do Povo. Board the bus heading towards São Martinho. The journey should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the stop 'Praça do Povo'. From the bus stop, walk towards Av. Do Mar, and you will see the park directly ahead.
