If you are driving, start from Funchal, the capital of Madeira. Take the VR1 highway towards the north. Follow the signs for São Vicente. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards ER101. Continue on ER101 for about 10 km, then look for signs for Levada dos Tornos. The road will lead you to the starting point of the levada walk. Parking is available nearby, but be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

To reach Madre Levada dos Tornos via public transport, take the bus from Funchal. Look for the 'Sam' bus service line that heads towards São Vicente. Once you arrive at the São Vicente bus station, transfer to a local bus that goes towards Ponta Delgada. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop for Levada dos Tornos.
