Walking
From the center of Ponte de Lima, head north on Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra towards the river. Continue straight until you reach the Ponte de Lima bridge. Cross the bridge and take the first left onto Rua da Ponte. Follow this road until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the second exit onto EN202. Continue on EN202 for about 19 kilometers, which will take you through scenic countryside. As you approach Melgaço, follow the signs to the center. Upon entering Melgaço, continue straight until you reach R. do Castelo. The Castle Melgaço will be on your right at number 30.

From Ponte de Lima, make your way to the main bus station located near the center. Take a bus heading towards Melgaço; the journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Melgaço, exit the bus and head towards the town center. Walk straight along Rua 1 de Maio until you reach R. do Castelo. Turn right onto R. do Castelo, and you will find Castle Melgaço at number 30.
