Walking
From the center of Ponte de Lima, start at the main square, Largo de Camões. Head northeast on Rua do Comércio towards Rua da Igreja. Continue straight until you reach the bridge, Ponte de Lima. Cross the bridge and follow the signs towards Viana do Castelo. After approximately 7 km, you will see signs for Doca Comercial. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the Navio Gil Eannes.
Bus
From Ponte de Lima, walk to the bus station located at Avenida dos Descobrimentos. Take the bus to Viana do Castelo; the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Viana do Castelo, exit the bus station and head towards the waterfront. Follow the signs for Doca Comercial, which is a short 10-minute walk along the river. You will see the Navio Gil Eannes directly at the dock.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ponte de Lima. Head northeast on Rua do Comércio, then take the cycle path along the river. This scenic route will take you across Ponte de Lima and along the main road towards Viana do Castelo. After about 7 km, follow the signs to Doca Comercial, where you will find the Navio Gil Eannes.
