Walking

From the center of Ponte de Lima, start at the Ponte de Lima bridge (Ponte Romana). Head northeast along the waterfront pathway (Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra) towards the direction of the river. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and walk for approximately 300 meters. You will see the signs directing you toward Praia dos Frades. Follow these signs, which will lead you along a scenic path. After about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the entrance of Paseo do Monte Boi, located near the beach.
Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from various bike rental shops in Ponte de Lima. Start from the main square (Praça da República) and head towards Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra, following the riverbank path. Continue cycling northeast along the riverside until you reach Rua da Liberdade. Turn left and then follow the signs towards Praia dos Frades. The cycling route is approximately 2 kilometers and offers beautiful views along the way.
Public Transport

While there is no direct public transport to Paseo do Monte Boi, you can take a bus from Ponte de Lima to Baiona. Check the local bus schedule at the Ponte de Lima bus station. Once you arrive in Baiona, walk towards Praia dos Frades, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the coastal road and look for directional signs leading to Paseo do Monte Boi.
