Walking
Starting from the center of Ponte de Lima, head south on Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Rua da Câmara and walk for another 300 meters. You will see the Igreja de Ponte de Lima on your left. Continue on this road, and after about 200 meters, you will find Capela de São João on your right, just past the junction with Rua do Cais. The chapel is marked by a small sign and has a distinct exterior that should be easily recognizable.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the Ponte de Lima River. Start by heading along the riverside on the Ecopista do Lima trail, which is a scenic route. After approximately 1 km, take the exit towards Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Follow the same path as the walking directions, cycling past the roundabout and continuing onto Rua da Câmara. Keep an eye out for the Igreja de Ponte de Lima, then proceed to Capela de São João, which will be on your right after about 200 meters.

While there is limited public transport directly to Capela de São João, you can take a local bus that operates within Ponte de Lima. Board the bus at the main terminal in Ponte de Lima and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the nearest stop to the chapel. It might be best to get off at the stop near Igreja de Ponte de Lima and then walk the short distance (about 200 meters) to Capela de São João by following Rua do Cais.
