Walking
If you are starting from São Bento Train Station, exit the station and head towards Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Aliados. Cross the street and walk down Rua do Almada until you reach the river. You will see a sign for Ribeira. Turn right at the riverfront, and after a short walk, you'll arrive at Cais da Estiva, a picturesque area in the Ribeira district.
Metro and Walking
From Trindade Metro Station, take the Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the next stop, which is São Bento. Once you exit the metro, follow the same directions as from São Bento Train Station. Walk towards Rua de 31 de Janeiro, cross Avenida dos Aliados, and head down Rua do Almada to the riverside. Turn right along the river, and you will reach Cais da Estiva.
Bus and Walking
If you are near Praça da Liberdade, take bus number 500 towards Ribeira. Get off at the 'Ribeira' stop. From there, walk towards the river, and you will see Cais da Estiva directly in front of you. It's just a short walk down to the riverbank where you can enjoy the beautiful views.
Walking from Other Attractions
If you are visiting the Dom Luís I Bridge, simply walk down towards the riverbank on the Porto side. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverfront. After a few minutes, you will arrive at Cais da Estiva, where you can explore the vibrant atmosphere of Ribeira.
