If you are starting from the iconic Livraria Lello, exit the bookstore and head southwest on Rua das Carmelitas. Continue walking straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Turn right onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro and walk until you reach Praça de Carlos Alberto. From there, you will see the beautiful fountain in the distance. Head towards the fountain, which is located in Praça de Gomes Teixeira, a short walk ahead.

If you are near the São Bento Metro Station, take the D Line (Yellow Line) towards the Hospital de São João. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Aliados'. After exiting the station, walk straight towards Avenida dos Aliados. Continue straight until you reach Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Turn left onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro and head towards Praça de Carlos Alberto. From there, it's a short walk to Praça de Gomes Teixeira where Fonte dos Leões is located.

If you are near the Mercado do Bolhão, you can take Bus 602 from the nearby bus stop. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Teixeira' stop. From the bus stop, walk straight towards Praça de Gomes Teixeira. The fountain will be visible as you approach the square.

If you are near the Ribeira district, take Tram Line 1 towards the Jardim das Virtudes. Get off at the last stop and walk towards the Dom Luis I Bridge. Cross the bridge on foot and follow the signs to the city center. Walk uphill through the streets until you reach Praça de Carlos Alberto, then turn right onto Praça de Gomes Teixeira to find Fonte dos Leões.
