If you are starting from São Bento Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main square, Praça da Liberdade. From there, walk down Rua dos Clérigos until you reach the iconic Clérigos Tower. Continue straight on Rua das Aldordas until you reach Rua do Almada, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Cândido dos Reis, where you will turn right. Follow this street until you reach the end, where you will find Escadas do Caminho Novo, leading you directly to Muralha Fernandina.

If you are near the Trindade Metro Station, take the Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the next stop, São Bento. Exit the station and follow the directions provided from São Bento Railway Station to Muralha Fernandina.

Take the bus number 500 from the Praça da Liberdade stop towards the Jardim do Morro. Get off at the stop called ‘Infante’ which is near the Ribeira district. From Infante, walk up towards the Cais da Ribeira, and then follow the directions provided from the Ribeira district to Muralha Fernandina.

If you are starting from the Ribeira district, head up the hill towards Rua de São Francisco. Follow the signs towards the Palácio da Bolsa and continue uphill. You will eventually reach Escadas do Caminho Novo, which will take you directly to Muralha Fernandina.
