Metro
If you're near a metro station, take Line A (the blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Change at Trindade station to Line D (the yellow line) towards Hospital de S. João. Get off at the next stop, which is Aliados. From Aliados, exit the station and walk towards the Avenida dos Aliados. Continue straight until you reach the Praça da Liberdade.
Bus
You can take bus number 500 from any bus stop in central Porto that services this route. Board the bus heading towards 'Cais de Gaia'. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Cordoaria'. From there, walk along Rua da Cordoaria until you reach Rua de São Pedro de Miragaia, then turn left and follow the street until you reach Passeio das Virtudes.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the historic center, you can walk to Parque das Virtudes. Start at the São Bento train station and head towards the Igreja de São Bento da Vitória. Continue straight onto Rua de São Bento da Vitória, and then take a right onto Rua de São Pedro de Miragaia. Follow the road until you see the entrance to Parque das Virtudes on your left.
Tram
Take the historic Tram Line 1 from the Ribeira area towards the Jardim do Passeio Alegre. Ride the tram until you reach the stop at 'Cordoaria'. From there, walk towards Rua de São Pedro de Miragaia. Turn left on this street and follow it until you reach the entrance of Parque das Virtudes.
