Car
If you're driving, head towards N247-3 from the center of Sintra. Follow the signs for N247 and continue for about 15 minutes. Look for the signs indicating High Cross (Cruz Alta) as you approach. There is a small parking area near the site where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach High Cross using public transportation, take the Scotturb bus number 434 from Sintra train station towards Cabo da Roca. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Cabo da Roca' stop. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk uphill to High Cross. Follow the signs for Cruz Alta, and enjoy the scenic route.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity and prefer walking, you can hike up from the town of Sintra. Start at the Sintra National Palace and follow the well-marked trails towards the Moorish Castle. Continue onwards to High Cross. The hike is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace and offers stunning views along the way.
