Walking
If you are starting from Setúbal city center, head towards the Setúbal train station, which is located at Av. 5 de Outubro. From the station, walk to the bus stop nearby and take the bus number 5 towards Lisbon. After about 30 minutes, get off at Praça do Comércio in Lisbon. From there, walk towards Rua da Conceição and continue straight until you reach the elevation of the castle. Follow the signs towards Castelo de São Jorge, which will lead you uphill. The castle is located at R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisboa.
Public Transport
From Setúbal, head to the Setúbal bus station and take the Rede Expressos bus to Lisbon. Once you arrive at Lisbon's Sete Rios bus terminal, switch to the metro system. Take the Blue Line towards Santa Apolónia and get off at the Santa Apolónia station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Rua da Regueira, then continue onto Rua do Pires de Lima, which leads you to the hill where Castelo de São Jorge is located. Follow the signs to the castle entrance at R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Setúbal to Castelo de São Jorge in Lisbon. Simply ask the driver to take you to R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisboa. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your trip.
