If you are in the center of Setúbal, start at Praça do Brasil. From the square, head towards Avenida Luísa Todi and walk straight until you reach the waterfront promenade. Turn left and continue walking along the waterfront. After approximately 1 km, you will see the signs for Forte de São Filipe. Continue along the path until you reach the base of the hill. Follow the signs uphill to the entrance of the fort.

From Setúbal city center, walk to the nearest bus stop at Avenida dos Descobrimentos. Take bus number 23 towards 'Forte de São Filipe'. The bus will take you close to the entrance of the fort. Once you get off, follow the signs leading up the hill to the fort entrance.
