Getting there

Walking

From the Setúbal city center, head towards the waterfront at Avenida Luísa Todi. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the Praça do Brasil. Continue straight until you see the ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, look for signs directing you towards the Albarquel beach area. Follow the signs along the coastal path, which will lead you through a scenic route with beautiful views of the river and the surrounding area. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the city center to the beach.

Public Transport (Bus)

From the Setúbal city center, locate the bus stop near the Praça do Brasil. Take bus number 12 or 14 towards the Albarquel area. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Albarquel stop. From there, follow the signs leading you to Albarquel beach, which is a short walk downhill from the bus stop.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Setúbal. Start from the city center and head towards the waterfront at Avenida Luísa Todi. Follow the coastal path, which is cyclist-friendly and takes you directly to Albarquel. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.
