Walking
If you are in the center of Setúbal, head towards the Setúbal Train Station (Estação de Setúbal). From the station, walk straight along Avenida 5 de Outubro towards the waterfront area. Continue on this road until you reach Praça do Brasil, a notable square. At Praça do Brasil, turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and follow it until you reach the intersection with Rua do Comércio where you will see the river. Cross the road and take the path along the riverbank heading north towards the ferry terminal. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the ferry terminal where you can take a ferry to Lisbon. The ferry ride will take you across the Tagus River and drop you at Cais do Sodré station in Lisbon. From there, follow the signs to the metro station and take the Green Line towards Telheiras. Get off at the stop 'Baixa-Chiado' and transfer to the Blue Line towards Santa Apolónia. Get off at the stop 'Rato' and exit the station. Walk straight along Rua da Escola Politécnica until you reach Praça da Estrela, where you will find Jardim da Estrela at the address Praça da Estrela 12.

Start at the Setúbal Train Station (Estação de Setúbal). From there, take the train towards Lisbon (Cascais Line). It will take about 1 hour to reach Lisbon. Once you arrive at the Lisbon train station (Cais do Sodré), walk towards the metro station and take the Green Line towards Telheiras. Get off at the 'Baixa-Chiado' stop and change to the Blue Line by following the signs to 'Rato'. From 'Rato' station, exit and head towards Praça da Estrela.
