Walking
If you're starting from the Sintra train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Avenida da Liberdade. Head straight along the Avenida until you reach the bus stop for bus number 434, which will take you directly to the historic center of Sintra. Once you get off at the Sintra center stop, walk down the main street, Rua de São Pedro, until you reach the Praça da República. From there, follow the signs to the Sintra National Palace. After visiting the palace, continue down the street to the left, and take a right onto Rua do Paço, where you'll find the bus stop for the 403 or 417 bus that goes to Lisbon. The journey will take you to Cais das Colunas in Praça do Comércio.
Train
From Sintra, go to the Sintra train station. Purchase a ticket to Lisbon, and take the train towards Rossio station. The train ride typically takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Rossio, exit the train station and walk towards Praça da Figueira. From there, head towards the metro station and take the Green Line towards Cais do Sodré. Get off at Cais do Sodré, and then walk towards Rua da Prata until you reach Praça do Comércio. Follow the signs to Cais das Colunas, which is located on the waterfront.
Bus
From the Sintra center, head to the bus stop for the 403 or 417 buses. These buses will take you directly to Lisbon. Make sure to check the bus schedule to avoid long waiting times. Once you arrive in Lisbon, get off at Cais do Sodré. From there, it's a short walk to Praça do Comércio. Follow the signs towards the waterfront, and you will find Cais das Colunas right by the riverside.
