Train
From Sintra, head to the Sintra train station. You can take a short walk from anywhere in the town center to the station, which is well-signposted. Purchase a ticket to Lisbon (Lisboa) at the ticket counter or from a ticket machine. The train ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lisbon Oriente Station, exit the train and follow the signs for the Metro. Take the Metro Line Vermelha (Red Line) towards São Sebastião and get off at the 'Oriente' station. From there, it is a short walk to the Oceanário de Lisboa.
Bus
From Sintra, head to the bus terminal located near the Sintra train station. Look for the bus line that goes to Lisbon (Lisboa). Purchase your ticket on the bus or at the terminal if available. The journey to Lisbon takes about 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Once in Lisbon, you can take the Metro or walk to the Oceanário de Lisboa. If you choose to walk, head towards the Vasco da Gama Bridge and follow the signs for the Oceanário, which is located in the Parque das Nações area.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app from Sintra to the Oceanário de Lisboa. Simply tell the driver the destination: 'Esplanada Dom Carlos I, 1990-005 Lisboa'. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to confirm the estimated fare before starting your ride.
