From the Sintra train station, exit onto Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Head right onto the main road and follow it for about 10 minutes until you reach the Centro Histórico de Sintra. Continue straight until you reach the Praça da República, then turn left onto Rua dos Empréstimos. Follow this street until you arrive at the Sintra National Palace. From here, take the bus 434, which will take you to the Quinta da Regaleira. After your visit, walk back to the Sintra National Palace and take the bus 435 towards Cascais. Get off at the stop 'Praia das Maçãs' and enjoy the beach.
