If you are in the center of Sintra, start at the Sintra train station. Exit the station and head towards the main road, Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Walk straight along this road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Rua da Ferraria. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance of the Parque da Liberdade. Enter the park and follow the path that leads uphill towards the Castelo de Sintra. After about 20-30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the castle, where Cisterna is located.
