Walking
If you are starting from Sintra train station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Avenida Dr. Alfredo Costa). Turn left and walk along the road for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Sintra National Palace. Continue walking straight, passing the palace on your right. Head towards the town center (Centro Histórico) and keep walking straight until you reach the Praça da República. From the square, take the street that leads to the left, Rua das Padarias, and then turn onto Rua da Ferraria. Follow this road until you reach the Fonte Mourisca.
Bus
From the Sintra train station, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus number 435 towards 'Cabo da Roca.' This bus will take you through some scenic areas. Get off at the 'Mourisca' bus stop. From there, follow the signs pointing towards Fonte Mourisca, which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. The fountain is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a pleasant walk.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Sintra. Start from the town center and head towards the Sintra National Palace. From there, take the road towards the Moorish Castle. Follow the signs leading to Fonte Mourisca. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!
