Walking
Start your journey at Sintra's historic center, specifically at the Sintra Railway Station. From the station, head towards the main street, Rua das Padarias, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua Dr. Alfredo da Costa. Turn left onto Rua Dr. Alfredo da Costa and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Continue straight for about 1.5 km, until you see a sign for 'Pisoes Waterfall'. This area will lead you towards the natural park. Follow the path that leads into the woods, and after a 20-minute walk, you will arrive at the stunning Pisoes Waterfall. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven.
Bus
From the Sintra Railway Station, take the Scotturb bus number 435 towards 'Cabo da Roca'. You will need to get off at the stop named 'Vale de Lobo'. After disembarking, walk back a short distance towards the main road and follow the signs leading to the Pisoes Waterfall trailhead. This should take about 15 minutes on foot. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes, followed by a 15-minute walk to the waterfall.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops near Sintra's historic center. Start from the center and head towards the Sintra Railway Station, then follow Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda for about 1.5 km. Continue past the roundabout and take the path that leads into the woods after seeing the sign for 'Pisoes Waterfall'. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes, followed by a short walk to reach the waterfall. Be cautious of the terrain as some parts may be hilly.
