If you are at Sintra train station, exit the station and head straight along the Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with Rua das Padarias. Turn left onto Rua das Padarias and continue until you reach the end of the street. At the end, you will see Praça da República straight ahead.

From the historic center of Sintra, start at the Sintra National Palace. Head down the hill along the Rua da Rainha until you reach the main road (Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda). Turn right and walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will come to Praça da República.
