From the center of Sintra, start at the Sintra Train Station. Head northwest on Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda, which will turn into Rua da Padaria. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Estrada da Praia das Maçãs. Turn right and walk until you reach the bus stop for the 440 bus to Colares. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the Colares bus stop. From there, walk towards the main road, Estrada do Guincho. Continue straight and follow the signs for Praia da Ursa. The trailhead is located near the end of the road, where you will find a sign indicating the path to the beach. It is a steep descent, so be prepared for a hike. The trail takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the beach.
