Bus
From the center of Tomar, walk to the main bus station located at Av. Marquês de Tomar. Look for the bus line that goes to São Mamede, which is usually indicated on the departure boards. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the São Mamede bus stop, exit the bus, and walk south on R. da Grutas da Moeda for about 10 minutes until you reach the Coin Caves.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Tomar. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'R. das Grutas da Moeda' in São Mamede. The ride will take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you enjoy walking and are up for a longer trek, you can head southwest from the center of Tomar. Start at Praça da República and make your way to the bridge over the Nabão River. Follow the path along the river until you reach Av. da Liberdade. Continue walking on the main road heading towards São Mamede, which will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to R. das Grutas da Moeda as you approach the location.
