Bus
From Tomar, head to the main bus station located at Avenida da Liberdade. Look for the bus company 'Rodoviária do Tejo' that operates routes to Alcobaça. Purchase a ticket to Alcobaça at the ticket counter or machine. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Alcobaça, exit the bus station and follow the signs to the town center. The Museu do Vinho de Alcobaça is located within a 10-minute walk.
Train and Bus
From Tomar, walk to the Tomar train station, located at Rua da Estação. Board a train towards Lisbon and get off at the station 'Valado dos Frades'. From there, you can take a local bus to Alcobaça. The total travel time is around 1 hour. After arriving in Alcobaça, the museum is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are in the town center of Tomar, start at the Praça da República. Head southwest towards Rua Serpa Pinto, then turn right onto Rua de Jorge Amado. Continue straight until you reach the river. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for the bus station to catch a bus to Alcobaça. Note that walking to Alcobaça is not recommended due to the distance, but this route will take you to the bus station if you prefer.
