Walking
If you are in the center of Tomar, start at Praça da República, a central square with cafes and shops. From there, head east on Rua da Liberdade until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight onto Rua de Portugal. Follow this road until you see the signs for 'Castelo de Tomar.' As you approach, you will come to a steep incline leading up to the castle. The entrance is located at Estr. do Convento 8, where you will find the ticket office and the main entrance to the castle.

From the Tomar train station, exit and walk towards the main road, Av. Dr. João Rato. Catch the local bus (Bus 2) heading towards 'Convento de Cristo.'
