From the center of Tomar, start at the Praça da República. Head east on Rua da Liberdade towards the Nabão River. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank and cross the pedestrian bridge (Ponte de São João). Once across, follow the path along the river. After approximately 15 minutes of walking along the riverside, you will see signs directing you towards Levada de Tomar. Continue along the path until you reach the promenade area, where Levada de Tomar is located.
Public Transport
From Tomar, walk to the local bus station, which is located near the railway station (Estação de Tomar). Take the bus that goes to the nearby town of Alviobeira. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Alviobeira, disembark and ask locals for directions to Levada de Tomar. It’s a short walk from the bus stop to the promenade area along the Nabão River.
