Once you arrive at Barcelos bus station, exit the station and walk straight ahead on Rua da Estação. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and continue walking until you reach Praça da República. The Museu Arqueológico is located just a short walk from the square, on your right at the address 4750-323 Barcelos.
Train

Make your way to the Viana do Castelo train station located on Avenida de Cabo Verde. Catch a train heading towards Braga. After approximately 30-40 minutes, disembark at the Barcelos train station. From the train station, exit and walk straight onto Avenida da Estação. Continue straight until you reach Praça da República. The Museu Arqueológico is located just a short distance from the square, on your right at the address 4750-323 Barcelos.
Walking

If you prefer to walk from Viana do Castelo to Barcelos, start at the city center and head towards the train station. Follow the main road towards the N13 highway and take the pedestrian path that leads to Barcelos. This is a longer journey and will take about 2 hours, but it offers beautiful views of the countryside. Once you reach the outskirts of Barcelos, follow the signs to the city center and head towards Praça da República. The Museu Arqueológico is located just a short walk from the square, on your right at the address 4750-323 Barcelos.
