From Viana do Castelo, head to the main bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Viana do Castelo). Take a bus heading to Barcelos. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Barcelos, exit the bus station and walk straight until you reach the main square (Praça da República). From there, make your way to R. Fernando Magalhães, which is a short 5-minute walk. The Ponte de Barcelos will be visible as you approach the river.

Make your way to the Viana do Castelo train station (Estação Ferroviária de Viana do Castelo). Board a train towards Braga, and get off at the Barcelos train station. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. After exiting the train, walk towards the city center and follow the signs leading to the river. R. Fernando Magalhães is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station, and you will soon see the iconic Ponte de Barcelos.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Viana do Castelo to Barcelos. Start from the city center of Viana do Castelo and head towards the N203 road. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Barcelos. This walk will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arriving in Barcelos, navigate towards the main square (Praça da República) and then head to R. Fernando Magalhães, where you will find the Ponte de Barcelos.
