If you're starting from the Viseu Cathedral (Sé de Viseu), head south towards the Praça da República. Walk straight down the Rua do Comércio, which will lead you directly to the Praça da República. As you approach the square, you will see the beautiful Chafariz do Rossio at the center of the Praça. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Viseu Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Viseu), take bus number 1 or 2 towards the city center. Get off at the stop labeled 'Praça da República.' From there, Chafariz do Rossio is just a short walk away. As you exit the bus, head towards the square, and you will see the fountain in the center. The bus journey takes about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

If you are near the Parque do Fontelo, exit the park and head towards the Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach Rua Direita, then turn left. Walk straight until you reach the Praça da República, where you will find Chafariz do Rossio in the middle of the square. This walk will take around 20 minutes.

From the Viseu Municipal Market (Mercado Municipal), exit and head towards Rua da Paz. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Rua do Comércio. Turn right and continue walking until you arrive at Praça da República. Chafariz do Rossio will be in the center of the square. This route will take approximately 15 minutes.
