Walking
If you are starting from the Viseu Cathedral (Sé de Viseu), head southeast on Rua da Sé towards Praça do Comércio. Continue straight until you reach Praça da República. From there, take the exit onto Avenida da Bélgica. Follow Avenida da Bélgica for about 1 km, and you will see the Viriato Monument on your left at Av. da Bélgica 5.
Public Transport
If you are near the Viseu Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Viseu), you can take Bus Line 1 (Linha 1) towards Alto de São João. Get off at the stop 'Avenida da Bélgica'. The Viriato Monument is located just a short walk away, approximately 200 meters. Head southwest on Avenida da Bélgica, and you will find the monument on your right.
Walking from Parque do Fontelo
From Parque do Fontelo, exit the park and turn right onto Avenida da Bélgica. Continue along this road for about 1.5 km. The Viriato Monument will be on your left side, right at Av. da Bélgica 5.
