From the main square in Cabo Rojo, head northeast on Calle Dr. Pedro S. Cordero towards Avenida José de Diego. Turn left onto Avenida José de Diego and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Cañón. Turn right onto Calle Cañón, which will lead you towards the coastal area. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge. Once inside, follow the signs towards Cueva Del Pirata Cofresí. The path is well marked, and you may need to walk approximately 1 mile until you reach the cave.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Cabo Rojo. Start at the main square and head northeast on Calle Dr. Pedro S. Cordero. Turn left onto Avenida José de Diego. Continue straight until you reach Calle Cañón. Turn right onto Calle Cañón and cycle towards the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge. Follow the designated bike paths until you see the signs for Cueva Del Pirata Cofresí. The total distance is about 2 miles, and it should take around 15-20 minutes to reach the cave.
