From the center of Caguas, head to the nearest bus stop located at Plaza de Caguas. Take the 'Guaynabo' bus line (Route D-10) which operates frequently. Inform the driver you are going to Toa Baja. The bus will take you along PR-1 towards Toa Baja. After approximately 45 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to PR-870. From there, walk along PR-870 for about 15 minutes until you reach Fortín San Juan de la Cruz (El Cañuelo), which is situated on the coast.

You can easily hail a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber from anywhere in Caguas. Enter 'Fortín San Juan de la Cruz, Palo Seco, Toa Baja' as your destination.
