If you're traveling by car, start from the main entrance of El Yunque National Forest located on Route 191. Drive along Route 191 until you reach the El Yunque Visitor Center. The address for the Visitor Center is 863F+4P7, Río Grande 00745. From the Visitor Center, continue on Route 191 for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the signs that indicate the La Mina Trail. There is a parking area at the trailhead where you can park your car. Please note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from San Juan to Río Grande. The bus service is provided by the 'Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses' (AMA). Upon arrival at the entrance, follow the same directions as driving to the El Yunque Visitor Center, where you can find information about the La Mina Trail.
