If you're traveling by car within El Yunque National Forest, start by navigating to the main entrance of the forest via PR-191. Once inside, follow the signs to the El Yunque Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, continue on PR-191 until you reach the intersection with PR-188. Take PR-188 south towards Patillas. After approximately 6 miles, take a left onto PR-184. Continue for about 4 miles, and you will find Charco Azul Swimming Hole on your left. There is a small parking area nearby.

Public transportation options are limited in El Yunque National Forest, but you can take a public bus (Route 53) from San Juan to the town of Luquillo. From Luquillo, you will need to find a taxi or rideshare service to reach Charco Azul. Inform the driver to take you to PR-184 in Patillas. This may incur additional costs depending on the distance and the service you choose.
