Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of El Yunque National Forest. Head southeast on PR-191 for approximately 2.5 miles. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with PR-3. Turn left onto PR-3 and drive for 1.2 miles. Then, take a right onto the road leading to 'La Charca de Cheo' which is marked by a small sign. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles; you will see a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. The entrance to Rio La Charca de Cheo is a short walk from the parking area.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, you can take a bus from San Juan to Río Grande. Look for the 'Caribbean Tours' bus service which operates routes to Río Grande. Once you arrive in Río Grande, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the entrance of El Yunque National Forest. The taxi ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After reaching the entrance, follow the walking directions for cars as mentioned above to get to Rio La Charca de Cheo.
