Bus
From any central location in Guánica, walk to the nearest bus stop. Look for the Guánica-Arecibo bus line, which may be marked with a sign indicating the route. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you are heading to Arecibo Observatory. The journey may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. The bus will drop you off near the observatory entrance. From the bus stop, take a short walk up PR-625, following the signs for Arecibo Observatory.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Guánica. Ask the taxi driver to take you to Arecibo Observatory. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the observatory.
Walking
For the adventurous, you can enjoy a lengthy hike. From central Guánica, head north towards PR-2, a main road that connects to Arecibo. It is approximately 25 km away, so this is only advisable for those who are fit and prepared for a long walk. Follow the road signs along PR-625, which will guide you towards Arecibo. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and check the weather to ensure a safe journey.
