Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the main area of Guánica, head towards the central plaza known as Plaza de Recreo, which is located near the intersection of Calle Hostos and Calle Jesús T. Piñero. From the plaza, walk south on Calle Hostos until you reach Avenida José de Diego. Turn left onto Avenida José de Diego and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida Esperanza Idrach. Turn right onto Avenida Esperanza Idrach. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see Malecón de Guánica on your left, near the waterfront.

  • Public Transport

    While public transport options may be limited in Guánica, you can look for local guaguas (minibuses) that operate along the main roads. If you are near the central plaza, you can ask locals for the nearest guagua stop. Board a guagua heading towards the coast, and ask the driver to let you off at Avenida Esperanza Idrach. After disembarking, walk along Avenida Esperanza Idrach towards the water, and Malecón de Guánica will be a short walk ahead, located on your left.
