Car
If you're driving, start by navigating to PR-191 in Río Grande. Follow PR-191 towards El Yunque National Forest. After approximately 5 miles, you will see signs for El Yunque National Forest. Turn left into the entrance. Continue on the road until you reach the Torre Yokahú parking area. The parking is free, but there may be a small fee for entry into the park if applicable.
Public Transportation
To reach Torre Yokahú via public transportation, take a bus to El Yunque National Forest. You can catch a bus from the San Juan area; look for routes such as 'Caribbean Bus' that service the region. Once you arrive at El Yunque, there may be a short hike (approximately 0.5 miles) to the Torre Yokahú observation tower. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times.
Walking
If you're already within El Yunque National Forest, you can hike to Torre Yokahú beginning from the nearest trailhead. Follow the signs for the Yokahú Trail, which is well-marked and approximately a 0.5-mile hike uphill. The trail is moderate in difficulty, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the tower. Dress appropriately for hiking and carry water.
