If you are driving from any location within the Mona Passage area, take PR-2 towards San Juan. Continue on PR-2 until you reach the junction with PR-1. Take the exit for PR-1 (signs will indicate San Juan) and follow it into the city. Once you reach San Juan, follow signs for 'Viejo San Juan' (Old San Juan). Continue straight until you reach Calle de la Fortaleza. Turn left onto Calle de la Fortaleza, and La Fortaleza will be on your right at 63 C. de la Fortaleza. Parking is limited in the area, so be prepared to find street parking or use a nearby parking facility, which may incur a fee.

Public Transportation

To reach La Fortaleza using public transportation, you can take the public bus service (AMA) from various locations in Mona Passage to San Juan. Look for routes that head towards San Juan and get off at the stop nearest to Old San Juan. From there, you can walk to La Fortaleza. Head south on Calle San Justo, then turn left on Calle de la Fortaleza. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Keep in mind that you may need to check the current bus schedule for the exact routes and times, and bring some change for the bus fare.
