Walking
If you are near the historic district of Old San Juan, start at Plaza de Armas, the central square. From there, head northwest on Calle San Francisco until you reach Calle de la Fortaleza. Turn left onto Calle de la Fortaleza, which will lead you directly towards El Morro. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Calle San Justo. Turn right onto Calle San Justo and walk straight until you reach the end of the street. The Bastión de la Concepción will be on your left, located near the waterfront.

From Castillo San Felipe del Morro, exit the fortress and head southeast towards the main road, Avenida de la Constitución. Walk down Avenida de la Constitución towards the east until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Fortaleza. Turn left onto Calle de la Fortaleza and continue walking straight. You will find the Bastión de la Concepción at the end of the street, right by the water.

If you are starting from further away, take a public bus (known as 'guaguas') to the main bus terminal in Old San Juan. From the terminal, exit onto Calle San José and walk northwest towards Plaza de Armas. Continue as previously described by heading to Calle de la Fortaleza and then to Bastión de la Concepción.
