If you are in Old San Juan, the San Juan National Historic Site is within walking distance. Begin at the Plaza de Armas, the central square of Old San Juan. From there, head northwest along Calle San José, which will lead you towards the coast. After approximately 5 minutes of walking, you will reach the entrance to the San Juan National Historic Site located at FVCG+5HX, San Juan, 00901. Look for the signs that indicate the entrance to both El Morro and San Cristóbal Forts.

Old San Juan offers a free trolley service that can take you to various historical sites, including the San Juan National Historic Site. Locate the nearest trolley stop, which is usually marked with signage. Board the trolley and choose the route that goes towards the forts.
