Walking
If you're already in Old San Juan, Plaza Colón is easily accessible by foot. Start at the San Juan Gate (Puerta de San Juan) which is a well-known landmark. From there, head southeast on Calle San Sebastián for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Fortaleza. Turn left onto Calle de la Fortaleza and continue walking for another 5 minutes. You will see Plaza Colón on your right, just past the intersection with Calle de la Cruz. Look for the large monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus at the center of the plaza.

Public Transportation
If you are further away in San Juan or need to use public transportation, you can take a bus that services the Old San Juan area. Look for the T5 or T6 buses, which connect various points in San Juan. Board the bus at any designated bus stop and inform the driver that you want to go to Old San Juan. Once you arrive at the bus stop closest to the San Juan Gate, follow the walking directions provided earlier to reach Plaza Colón. Note that the bus fare is typically around $0.75 to $1.00.
