    If you are driving from the main visitor center in El Yunque National Forest, take PR-191 south toward Luquillo. Continue on PR-191 for approximately 9 miles (14.5 kilometers) until you reach the intersection with PR-3. Turn left onto PR-3 and drive for about 8 miles (12.9 kilometers). Then, turn right onto PR-63, which will take you towards Humacao. Continue for about 12 miles (19.3 kilometers) until you reach the town of Humacao. Follow the signs to 5 Academy Drive, where Pterocarpus Forest is located. Parking is available on-site.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Pterocarpus Forest via public transportation, you can take a bus from San Juan to Humacao. Look for the 'Caribbean Bus' service that operates routes from San Juan to various towns including Humacao. Once you arrive in Humacao, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to 5 Academy Drive. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point is at the entrance to the Pterocarpus Forest.
