From Al Thakira Mangroves, head southwest on Al Thakira Street. Continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach a small roundabout. Take the first exit onto Purple Island Road. Follow this road for another 2 kilometers, where you will find the parking area for Purple Island. Note that you may need to pay for parking, which typically costs around 10 QAR (Qatari Riyals). Once parked, walk towards the trail that leads to the island.

If you are using public transportation, take a local bus from Al Thakira to the nearest bus stop on Al Khor Road (this may require asking locals for the best stop). From there, you can catch a taxi for a short ride (approximately 10-15 QAR) to the entrance of Purple Island. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they know the location of Purple Island before setting off.

If you are already in Al Thakira Mangroves and prefer walking, you can take a scenic route through the mangroves towards Purple Island. This route will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Follow the trail that leads directly from the mangroves towards the coast, where you will eventually see the signs leading to Purple Island. Remember to wear appropriate footwear as the path can be uneven.
