If you're traveling by car within the Arcadia Management Area, exit the area and head south on Route 102. Continue for approximately 9 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (also known as Post Road). Turn left onto Route 1. Continue on Route 1 for about 5 miles until you reach the exit for Route 138 East. Follow Route 138 East for about 9 miles, which will lead you into Newport. Once in Newport, follow signs for Bellevue Avenue. Rough Point is located at 680 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840. There is parking available at Rough Point, but please check the website for any potential fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from the Arcadia Management Area to a nearby city with bus service to Newport, such as Westerly or Providence. From Westerly, you can take the RIPTA bus (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) Route 66 towards Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, you can either walk or take a local taxi service to Rough Point located at 680 Bellevue Ave. Please note that bus schedules may vary, so check the RIPTA website for the latest information and possible fares.
