Car

As you approach Newport, stay on the left to merge onto RI-238 S, which becomes Ocean Drive. Brenton Point State Park will be on your left at the address Ocean Drive, Newport, RI 02840. Parking is available on site, and there is no entrance fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus route 60 from Providence. The bus will take you to Newport, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Newport, transfer to bus route 67 at the Newport Gateway Center.
