Getting There

    If you are starting from the Block Island Ferry Terminal in Old Harbor, walk north on Water Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Chapel Street. Turn left onto Chapel Street and follow it as it curves to the right. Continue straight onto West Side Road, which will lead you toward the northern part of the island. After about 1 mile, you will see signs for the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge. Follow the signs as you approach the refuge entrance.

    From the Block Island Ferry Terminal, rent a bike and head north on Water Street. After 0.5 miles, make a left onto Chapel Street. Continue biking straight until you reach West Side Road. At the intersection, turn right onto West Side Road. Keep biking for approximately 1 mile, where you will see the signs directing you to the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge. Follow the signs to reach the entrance of the refuge.
