    If you are driving to Clay Head Nature Trail from anywhere within Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, start by heading north on the main road (Point Judith Road). Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and follow it for approximately 7 miles. Take the exit for New Shoreham/Bock Island Ferry. Once on New Shoreham, follow Clay Head Trail signs. The trailhead is located at the end of Clay Head Trail.
