Walking
From the Block Island Ferry terminal, exit onto Water Street and head north. Continue straight as Water Street turns into High Street. Walk approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Chapel Street. Turn left onto Chapel Street and continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Beach Avenue. Turn right onto Beach Avenue and follow it as it curves towards the beach. Continue on Beach Avenue until you reach the end, where you'll find Coast Guard Beach. This route will take you through some of the lovely scenery Block Island has to offer.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Block Island Ferry terminal, and ride along Water Street heading north. Continue as Water Street becomes High Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Chapel Street. Ride down Chapel Street for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto Beach Avenue. Follow Beach Avenue straight to Coast Guard Beach. Enjoy the ride and be cautious on the roads, as they can be narrow.
